THE LIST OF THE DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE SHORT-TERM SCHENGEN VISA (C) APPLICATION WITH THE PURPOSE – VISIT

 

1) Foreign passport

  • The passport has to be issued within the last 10 years.
  • The passport must be valid at least three months after the intended date of the date of leaving Schengen area.
  • The passport must have minimum 2 free pages.
  • Uzbekistani citizens can apply for a visa with the biometric citizens’s passport only.  

 

2) Visa application form

The visa application form has to be filled out in block letters or by typewriter with Latin characters in English (or in Russian) language, correctly, without omissions, with precise indication of the period of stay. Name and last name should be filled as in passport. The application form has to be signed. The visa application form can be downloaded from the following link:

3) Photo:

1 color photo (size 3,5 x 4,5) on the white background taken within the last 6 months. Photo must be glued to the application.

 

4) Medical insurance (travel):

Medical insurance has to be valid for the whole period of stay and additional 15 days (the period of grace) on the territory of all member states of Schengen area covering the costs on medical prescriptions and transfer to the homeland with a minimum sum of 30.000 EUR.  

 

5)  Financial provision is confirmed by the following:

- For those who have a job - the original reference from the workplace: employment contract, salary certificate indicating level of salary in last 12 months, including reference number, the address and contact information of the employer, confirmation of employer about employment and position, labour history book, approval of employer to take leave (if not in English or Russian - with the notary confirmed translation into English language);

- For individual private entrepreneurs, company owners or self-emloyed persons – the copy of trade register bulletin or licence of the company, the statement of payment of taxes (if not in Russian - with the notary confirmed translation into English language); 

- For pensioners – pension book which underlines the amount of pension (if not in Russian - with the notary confirmed translation into English language);

- For students – confirmation from the place of study about student status, approval of the school to take holidays (if not in English or Russian - with the notary confirmed translation into English language), with address and contacts of the institution, signature and stamp of the person in charge and reference to the Embassy should be noted in the letter. If it is impossible to present this kind of document due to national holidays or vacations then copy of student card should be presented (if not in English or Russian - with the notary confirmed translation into English language). In a view of lack of income, for the student it`s necessary to present a sponsorship letter about coverage of all costs from one of his/her parents (or other family member – sister or brother) if not in English or Russian - with the notary confirmed translation into English language. Additionally, copy of that person’s Passport/ID card, work and bank references (if not in English or in Russian - with the notary confirmed translation into English language). Also, birth certificate of the student should be included to the documents (if not in English or Russian - with the notary confirmed translation into English language).

For all categories, it is necessary original bank account statement with the full information about  current bank account and report of operations within last 3 months (if not in English or Russian - with the notary confirmed translation into English language).

 

6) Following document is required for the short-term Schengen visa with purpose of visit:

 

The main form is the letter of invitation sent from the Immigration and Asylum Office of Hungary. This letter includes information about inviting party and invited party(ies), as well as information about residence place of inviting party.

 

In case of absence of the above-mentioned invitation letter and invitation by the person with temporary residence in Hungary (e.g. student) to his/her place then following documents are required:

 

  1. An invitation letter (in Hungarian or English) from the person (student or etc.) who has temporary residence in Hungary with his/her and 2 witnesses name and signature, including: 1) information about inviting party and guests; 2) address, contact details, e-mail of inviting party; 3) planned stay date of the guests. Also, there must be name, contact details, ID card number or official document number prooving legal residence in the EU area (scanned copy of that document should be included in the rest of the documents) next to signatures of both witnesses. Scanned copy of temporary or permanent residence card of the inviting party (if students – then student card or address card as well) must be included in the documents;
  2. Permission letter in Hungarian from the householder (owner) where his/her address, contact numbers, e-mail and the planned dates must be included. The letter must be personally signed by the householder and 2 witnesses. Also, there must be name, contact details, ID card number or official document number prooving legal residence in the EU area (scanned copy of that document should be included in the rest of the documents) next to signatures of householder and both witnesses;
  3. Property document from the householder issued within the last 3 month;
  4. Copy of agreement between householder and tenant.

 

 7) Copy of following documents are necessary:

1. Foreign passport (page(s) with information and signature of passport holder) and copy of all Schengen visas received within the last 3 years, if exists;

2. Medical insurance for Schengen visa (according to clause 4);

3. Flight ticket;

4. When travelling with spouse, copy of marriage certificate, if not in Russian - with the notary confirmed translation into English language

 

All documents have to be provided in A4 format

Documents sent from Hungary are accepted in scan (printed) version.

Consul may require additional documents.

If the applicant is not the citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan, there has to be submitted a legal document (i.e. residence permit), confirming legitimate staying on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The legal document has to be valid at least 3 months after the return from the Schengen area.
