Various cases have been reported where persons acting on behalf of fictious companies or companies in liquidation were approaching foreign healthcare institutions with business offers, claiming to be in possession of a large supply of health protective equipment (mainly facial masks). In such cases, down payment was required in return for the promised shipment.,Eventually, various excuses where used as to why the promised goods were never actually delivered to the intended purchaser.
